The Vega Peshtemal Poncho makes changing at the beach simple. First, just pull it over your head, and the hood and wide body give you room to change or dry off. In addition, we weave it from 100% organic Turkish cotton in a flat peshtemal weave, with marbled caramel and teal stripes. As a result, it’s light, quick-drying and easy to pack.

Why Turkish cotton?
Peshtemal fabric comes from the Turkish hammam, where bathers needed cloth that was light, absorbent and quick to dry. Long Turkish cotton fibers make a smooth, strong yarn. Care
- First, machine wash warm with similar colors.
- Then tumble dry low, or line dry in the shade.
- Skip bleach and fabric softener, because softener makes cotton less absorbent.
- Finally, shake out sand before washing to protect your machine.

Yes. The Vega Peshtemal Poncho is one size with a relaxed cut, so it fits most adults.
Can I change underneath it?

Will it feel stiff at first?
New flat-woven cotton can feel crisp. However, it softens noticeably after the first few washes.
Is it warm enough after a swim?

I am very satisfied with the products and their delivery. The towels are exceptionally thick and absorbent with beautiful designs. I primarily use them as seat/couch/dog bed covers in my campervan as we spend a lot of time around sandy beaches and water. They wash and dry easy while traveling. My dog loves them too 🙂 The poncho is great too as it serves me as a changing robe (wetsuit on/off). Love that you closed the sides up to the arm holes for that matter (I would have done that myself otherwise). I am planning on buying more towels in the future!
