Why organic Turkish cotton?
Turkish cotton has extra-long fibers, so the yarn is smoother and stronger and the loops fray less over years of washing. Compared with Egyptian cotton, it holds a little less water per gram but dries much faster, which is why hotels and spas prefer it: a towel that stays fresh between uses. Growing it organically means no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers in the field and no chlorine or heavy-metal dyes in the mill — better for the soil, the people who grow it, and the skin it ends up against. Questions we get asked
What does GOTS certified mean?
The Global Organic Textile Standard certifies the whole chain, not just the raw cotton: organic farming, restricted dyes and chemicals, wastewater treatment and fair working conditions, verified by independent audits. Each Organic Border towel carries the GOTS label on its tag.
What does 600 GSM mean?
GSM is grams per square meter — the density of the terry. 300–400 GSM is a light, quick-dry towel; 500–600 GSM is hotel and spa weight. At 600 GSM, Organic Border is the plushest towel we make, and still practical to dry at home.
Will the color fade?
The organic jacquard towels are yarn-dyed with GOTS-approved dyes and the pattern is woven, not printed. Wash with like colors and avoid bleach and the color stays true wash after wash.
Can I return them if the color isn’t right?
